Welcome back to our blog!! It’s been a while but what better time to start it back up than when we are all on quarantine?!!

So, I thought for our first post back we could talk about foods that are GOOD for your skin. Because let’s face it, we all love food and why not treat your skin at the same time.

  • I personally love a good bowl of guac, especially with cilantro and LOTS of lime, so it’s a good thing Avocado is on our list & does wonders for your skin! It contains tons of fatty acids like Omega 9 Fatty acids & Oleic Acid. It’s rich in Vitamin C & E and helps reduce redness & irritation.

  • Next, you might as well blend up a skin cocktail with Blueberries, Kiwi, Mango and Spinach. This combination will give your skin, hair and body a major super boost! Blueberries are loaded with antioxidants, they’re anti-inflammatory and just like Kiwi and Spinach, they’re rich in Vitamins A,C, E & K. Mango is extremely good for your skin and hair health. Rich in vitamins A, C and E plus beta-carotene. They’re an amazing source of skin-healing antioxidants that help rejuvenate your complexion. YASSS HUNNAAY

  • For this next one, you might want to make a little note for Thanksgiving! Sweet potatoes & Walnuts! They can be made together if you want, but that’s optional. Sweet potatoes are amazing for vitamin A, C & , E, they’re super high in fiber & potassium and have anti- aging benefits *eats sweet potatoes for life*. As for walnuts, they also contain nourishing fats, protect against UV Rays & increase circulation.

Thanksgiving recipe: I like to peel & boil sweet potatoes, mash them up when they’re done & put them in a baking pan. I add a little bit of butter, agave & sprinkle some cinnamon on top for some spice and serve warm! I promise you, it’s SO GOOD. You can even add some crushed walnuts on top for a little crunchy crunch.

  • Immunity shot anyone? I love getting my juicer out and making a blend of lemon, ginger, cayenne pepper & SOMETIMES turmeric, but honestly that’s pushing it for me. Tumeric is amazing for your skin though. It helps heal wounds quicker, improves blood circulation and it’s anti-inflammatory! But, so is ginger and our other yummy ingredients. Not only does ginger boost your immune system, but it also helps improve your digestive system, contains vitamin C, B3 & B6 AND is anti-inflammatory. Next time you feel a cold coming on, try a shot of this!

There you go! Foods you can eat while benefitting your skin. Let me know if you guys want more recipes for some healthy skin snacks!
